Inspired from kiva’s of the American Southwest and the mitraeums and granges of Old Europe, the Crystal Dome is designed to be a transformative space to heal ourselves and transform our connection and cognition between the Heavens, Sun and the Earth by creating mental images of the relationship between symbols, sacred geometry and modern science. It combines the compass, the calendar, the clock, the color wheel, the notes of sound. The Crystal Dome becomes a space where mind, spirit and matter find the balance in the center. Its purpose is to stimulate and help us to consciously remember harmony, unity and wholeness of the all and infinite mystery.
On the top center of the dome is the golden ring, halo-crown with no beginning and no end like the self consumming Ouroboros , it represents the outside of the circle, the One and All, the material world of ten thousand things. The O circle represents the Origin and the Organic. It is all colors of the rainbow called the glory and all sounds of the sacred sound Omm and is time itself. It contains all the other manifestations of all geometric shapes represented by numbers 1-12 including zero. The symbol of the letter N was used in antiquity to represent 0 in the center of the circle. The N Negates the-One to the equivilent of the NO.
The N-O or 0 zero represents the inside emptiness of the ring, it is the nothing, invisible, unseen or spirit world. it is the Odic forces allied to the unseen like radio waves, gravity, and electromagnetism. It is the breath, the invisible light and in has been called many names in many cultures. In Christianity it is called Amen and is the Soul. In Welsh it is Awen and means inspiritation and comes from their word for breeze. In Sanskrit it is Atmen which means to identify the soul or one's true self beyond identification with the phenomenal reality of worldly existence. The Egyptian Aten is the unseen life-giving force of light and Amun is the Egyptian god of Air, recorded as Imn, meaning the hidden one and is associated with the breath of life, which created the Ba. This unseen is also associated with GNOsis which is the Greek word for knowledge but actually refers to intuitive, spiritual mystical connection of God through awareness of the divine spark withiN the center like the Gnomon of a sun dial. The iN is associated with iNner eye known as the Pineal gland or third eye which has spiritual and psychological significance known as the mind’s eye and place of visions. It gives us ithe concept of iNsight and In (Enlightenment) and is iNspiration (which means inner spirit.) and Holy spirit.
Together the inside the invisible hole is one with the outside and forms the Whole and total. The lesson of the nothing is to become aware that "nothing" is in fact a force that can’t be seen but is real. It is important to know that "nothing is necessary for something to exist. It is not evil as portrayed by some religious groups who persecuted those who understood the concept of nothing.
The lesson of the One is the symbolism of the circle as all, infinity, everything and contains opposite which is Nothing. It is in the center of all and nothing in which we live and to understand the lessons of the forces around the Circle of the One will result in wisdom.
Like the unseen energy of the Sun, as it streams down into the poles of the Earth as the rainbow Aurora Borealis, we enter into the Virtual 3D hexagon Crystal shaped Dome from the direction of No visible Sun, the North pole(South pole if in the Southern Hemisphere) which is the place of the spirit and the ancestors. By entering into the doorway of the evergreen tree which sits between the darkenss and the light, we become the Menorah like tree symbol of the Shaman with our branches reaching to the heavens (spirit) and the roots into the Earth and the material. We mentally and symbolically enter at the stike of 12 O'Clock midnight on the winter solstice as It marks the time of the new beginning and the return to the light. We will imagine entering into the dome and walking to the center and then turning around to face North again and then looking down at the center of the floor.

 Kelly O'Donnell received her degree in Solar Engineering Technology from Penn State University in 1981. She and her husband, built their Solar powered, actively and passively designed, off the grid Solar house which was featured on the Northern Colorado Solar Energy Societies tour of remote solar homes and in the book “Logs, Wind and Sun.” She published many articles relative to personal transformation in the Healing Path Magizine and Club Meg News. She publishs The Sun Tribe newsletter quarterly and has released a CD of Earth based eco folk-rock songs. She is the designer of the Crystal Dome of Conscious Revolution which is designed based on the Aquarian Calendar-Clock as a place to heal and transform, our relationship to the Sun, theEarth and ourselves. She gives workshops and presentations at churchs and festivals. Her work ties together heaven, Earth, Self, with science, art, music and architecture. |
The Vision Artist/ Solar Engineer Kelly Sabota-O'Donnell has built a 3D model of the Crystal Dome that integrates the Aquarian Calendar and is in the process of constructing virtual Crystal Dome and a 13 ft Hexagon shaped tent as a sacred space that unifies many religious perspectives with science .
